Again under Catalina the Startup Security Utility worked fine and could be authenticated by the Admin account on the Mac mini. I deleted the SSD and recovered from the internet, which fortunately recovered me back to Catalina and allowed a restore of my Time Machine backup to immediately prior to the Big Sur installation. My original settings were no security and allow external boot. Therefore I cannot change the T2 security settings. However, when I install Big Sur (11.1) the Mac mini functions fine but when I enter the Big Sur Recovery OS I can get into the fully recovery interface by entering the admin password, however, when I enter the Startup Security Utility I get to the Authentication Needed screen but the 'Enter macOS Password' button does not work! I can click all day long to no effect. I can also use the Startup Security Utility and authenticate access by clicking 'Enter macOS Password' to progress to the utility options. ![]() ![]() Cmd + R works fine and I can boot into the Catalina Recovery OS without issue. I have a Mac mini 2018 running macOS 10.15.7, this has a functional admin account. Let me know if this is something you would like to try.Startup Security Utility (Mac mini 2018) not working after Big Sur (macOS 11.1) upgrade to Catalina (10.15.7) Hi, If you would like assistance, we'd be happy to take a look at some sample images and see if we are able to remove any artifacts/patterns and get you the results you desire. We update it weekly and are constantly trying to improve it. Thank you for your feedback on Topaz Photo AI. Our company decided to focus on image quality enhancement rather than creative filters which is what led to the shift. I got this back in a second email: I understand the disappointment as we know that many users liked our creative tools. I commented on Photo AI still not ready for all the role it needs to fill. Yes some (only some) of the functionality is coming to Photo AI. So three more products also going away at some point. I wrote back with some disgruntlement since Photo AI to me is still half baked and leaves odd artifacts on many of the backgrounds on pictures. For complete transparency, it's unlikely that DeNoise AI, Sharpen AI, or Gigapixel AI will receive updates again either. We're limited in our ability to troubleshoot the no longer supported legacy apps like Adjust AI which no longer receive updates. Please write back if there's anything else you'd like assistance with, or if you have any questions.Regretfully, ![]() Hi xxxxxx, thanks for writing in!â–¡Adjust AI has been discontinued and is no longer compatible with MacOS Ventura. Our development team's focus will be on improving Photo AI. I contacted them via email and within a few minutes received this response: I went to their webpage and see that the Adjust AI application is not listed but I can still download it, so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled version 1.06. I went to use Adjust AI and noted it crashed upon launch whereas it had worked before. I am a long time user of Topaz Labs and after upgrading my primary photo processing MacBook Pro M1 Max laptop to Ventura (yes, I know a new OS just came out, I am conservative when it comes to mission critical systems and do not upgrade unless there is a compelling reason - which finally developed.
